“I am sometimes asked 'Why do you spend so much of your time and money talking about kindness to animals when there is so much cruelty to men?' I answer: 'I am working at the roots.'”—George T.Angell
Little Rascals Rescue is a foster based 501c3 non profit animal rescue founded on the belief that a few caring people can make a difference in many animals lives. In Maricopa county alone 900 animals are euthanized a week. That number is way too high and through the effort of rescue groups like ourselves we believe we can make an impact on the lives of the many animals being euthanized daily. We live by the mantra 1 adopted and 2 saved, meaning every time someone adopts an animal from us we go pick up another off the euthanasia list, so thats 2 lives you save by adopting one animal. Our group is dedicated to saving the animals other rescue groups just can't save, mainly the medical and behavioral cases. That doesn't mean we won't have plenty of highly adoptable animals also.

Cam – Pit bull mix – 6 months – Female
This adorable little girl comes in a little package but is stuffed full of personality and love! Meet Cam! Cam and her litter of eight siblings were pulled off the euthanasia list when they were just days old after their owner turned them into County in a box – they were too young to go up for adoption so they landed on the “e” list. Little Rascals took them and placed them in a loving foster home where they were bottle fed until they could eat on their own. Cam was a sweet, happy little girl but her foster mom noticed that while all her siblings were growing and looking strong, Cam stayed little and seemed underweight. Off to the vet only to find out that this special little girl was special in more ways than one, Cam is diabetic! So she has stayed in foster care until we could get her sugar levels correct and make sure she was healthy enough to go up for adoptions – and now she’s ready! BUT, are you ready for her? This little girl will never grow to full size but she totally makes up for her size in personality! Cam is sweet, funny, a big time cuddlier and will steal your heart in a second. She is housetrained WITH a doggie door, loves other dogs and is great with kids. She loves to be held and if her foster mom is on the sofa, Cam’s right there with her. She also rides great in the car and is getting use to the leash. If you think this little sweetie is missing from your life, please call Toni for more information at 602-686-4158 or email azbullygirl@q.com It is not known at this time if Cam will grow out of this condition but chances are she will need special care all her life – please consider this before calling. **Little Rascals will make special arraignments for this girl’s medical condition**
All of our dogs are spay/neutered, up to date on shots and microchiped.
We are at Petsmart Desert Ridge 21001 North Tatum from 11:30-4 every other Saturday.

The only way rescues survive is through donations or grants through the public or corporate world. Money is always a great way to help, but we also always need food, treats, chewys, toys, litter, towels, washcloths, blankets, pillows, bowls, leashes, sheets, kmr or goatmilk powder, and anything that would benefit the well being of the dogs and cats in their stay with us. If you want to help in a big way sponsor a donation drive in the community for the items listed. Every little bit helps and is graciously appreciated.

A very special dog named Rudy

Rudy is a sweet 2 year old samoyed with only 2 legs! He was pulled from the euthanasia list at county where he was turned in as a stray. We first thought that Rudy had a birth defect, but after meeting his new friend Dr. Soderstrom, a veterinary specialist, we now are thinking quite differently. After viewing xrays, Dr. Soderstrom believes that Rudy had to chew his own legs off! He might have been hit by a car, or something that gave him such extreme pain and discomfort that he would result to doing this to himself. We think that Rudy has been living on his own with this condition for awhile. He has even learned to get around by walking in a handstand on his 2 remaining front feet. Rudy is such an amazing kid with so much love to give. He loves everything big and small including all of his kitty and doggy friends. He has so much happiness in him and wants so much to just be loved back! He will do anything for a hug! Despite his condition Rudy still seems to have amazing zest for life, but he still has a long journey ahead of him and he needs your help.
His medical bills will not be cheap! He is currently undergoing prednisone therapy and will be having surgery soon to remove the rest of his back legs that are causing him pain. We still have a long road to making him as comfortable as possible. He also has a wheelchair cart he will be getting used to as soon as his doctor says he is ready. Please make a donation to help the great people who have saved Rudys wonderful life and the lives of many more animals in need of just a little more tender care. Thank you so much!
