Pluto and Goofy are a bonded pair of brothers.  They are 3 year old pure cocker spaniels males.  They are very sweet boys that get along with everyone.  They are good with dogs, were raised with cats and kids of all ages and really seem to love the young ones.  They are wonderful boys that need to go to a home together which isn't bad because they are both super sweet and quiet.
All of our dogs are spay/neutered, up to date on shots and microchiped.  If you are interested in Pluto and Goofy call Jen 623-210-6578 or Ryan 623-606-4855 or email

Zoe is a sweet senior chihuahua who is about 10 years old.  She is tiny and weighs less than 5 pounds. Zoe was turned into the County shelter as a stray so we don't know anything about her history.  Since coming into our rescue, she has had a complete dental which included removing all her teeth, and has had a hernia repair.  She is now healthy and very sweet and ready for a forever home.  Zoe is a little "velcro" dog who likes to be with her person all the time.  She follows her foster mom all through the house and likes to sleep under the covers in the bed at night.  Zoe gets along fine with the other cats and small dogs in her foster home.  However, she is possessive with her people, and will growl at other animals when she is on her person's lap.  Zoe seems to like everyone but because of her age, we think a more quiet home without small children would be best for her.  She is spayed, current on vaccines and microchipped.  For information on Zoe, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com

Baxter is a 2 1/2 year old basset hound male.  He is a great dog.  Loves to snuggle and play. He Is good with dogs, cats and kids. A little bit of food aggression but not too bad. really needs a yard because he needs his privacy to do his business :)  He is really easy going and for the basset lovers a very good boy.

All of our dogs are spay/neutered, up to date on shots and microchiped.  If you are interested in Baxter call Jen 623-210-6578 or Ryan 623-606-4855 or email bu.ter.fly@hotmail.com  We are at petco on I17 & Happy Valley every Sunday from 11-6.

Waldo is a chubby, cute chihuahua mix who weighs about 8-10 pounds.  He is 3-4 years old.  Waldo came from the County pound, so we don't know much about his history, but his foster family says he is quite a character.  Waldo is housebroken and crate trained.  He enjoys the other small dogs in his foster home and loves to play.  We don't know how he is with big dogs.  Waldo is not good with cats - loves to chase and torment them.  His favorite things are eating and napping on his foster dad's lap.  Waldo can be a little snappy with new people and does not like to be picked up by anyone he doesn't know.  For this reason, he cannot go to a home with children.  He really is a funny little dog and will be a great companion for some lucky person.  For information on Waldo, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com

Buford is a 3 year old Shorter hair saint bernard male.  He is very, very loveable with a very alof personality.  He loves everyone and is very gentle.  He gets along with cats and dogs of all sizes.  Pretty good about his  foot placement for a big guy.  Walks well on a leash and fairly easy to control.  Loves to lay around and be a typical saint.
All of our dogs are spay/neutered, up to date on shots and microchiped.  If you are interested in Buford call Jen 623-210-6578 or Ryan 623-606-4855 or email bu.ter.fly@hotmail.com  We are at petco on I17 & Happy Valley every Sunday from 11-6.

Hazel is a 8-10 year old chihuahua/dachshund mix who weighs about 8 pounds.  She is blind.  Hazel came to us from the County shelter so we don't know anything about her background.  Our vet thinks that she has damage to the retinas of her eyes and has probably been blind for quite a while.  Hazel is a sweet girl who loves to be with people.  She has learned her way around her foster home very well and is housebroken and crate trained.  She is good with small dogs and cats, even though they sometimes get snappy when she bumps into them!  Hazel will do best in a home without small children and where someone is home most of the time.  She bonds quickly to people and wants to be near you all the time. Hazel is spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped, recently had a dental, and has current blood work.  For information, contact Patti at rcartfam@aol.com or 602-943-7059

Chewy is a 1 and half year old, male, lab/chow mix, black Chewy was found as a stray wandering around my neighborhood. He jumped right in my friends car. We had him posted everywhere for a month with no success of finding his owner. When he first came to me, Chewy didn't know how to walk on a leash at all. Now he loves it, because he knows thats when he gets his special one on one time. He is a great walking/jogging partner! He is always very eager to be where the action is. He loves attention and rolls over on his back to get belly rubs. He is very affectionate and loves being around people. Kids seem to scare him and he doesn't know what to do. I would not place him around small children. He loves playing outside with the other big dogs and can never get enough of it. He is completly potty trained and is even learning his basic commands well. You just look at him and see he wants to please you. He talks sometimes, by doing a little whine, its very soft and cute. He will bark when someone comes to the door, or he wants something. For the most part, he is a very calm, gentle, quiet dog. If you are interested in Chewy please call his foster mom Jen #623-210-6578  Ryan 623-606-4855 or email bu.ter.fly@hotmail.com. Chewy will be at our adoption events on Sunday from 11-5pm at the Happy Valley/I17 Petco. Come meet him and more of his friends! Rescue a forever friend!

Charlie is a 9-10 year old, 20 pound dachshund mix.  He is a friendly, happy, wonderful dog. Charlie was surrendered by his owner who didn't have time for him any more.  When he came into rescue, he had a tumor in his mouth.  Our vet removed it and unfortunately, the biopsy revealed it was malignant melanoma.  This type of cancer typically spreads, but for now, Charlie is healthy and enjoying life to the fullest.  He is great with the other small dogs in his foster home and fine with cats.  He loves to play with tennis balls and spends his evenings in his foster dad's lap, watching TV.  He is housebroken and crate trained.  We would like to place Charlie in a loving forever home with a family willing to commit to him for the rest of his life.  Charlie is neutered, current on vaccines, recently had a dental, and has current blood work (all good).  For information on Charlie, contact Patti at rcartfam@aol.com or 602-943-7059.

Doug is a terrier mix, about 15 pounds, and about 2-3 years old.  Doug originally came into rescue via another rescue group that saves mill dogs (www.milldogrescue.org).  Doug spent the first 12-18 months of his life at a midwest puppy mill.  He received very little human interaction and what little he received must not have been pleasant.  Doug has been in his current foster home since May 2008 and has made great progress.  He is housebroken and comfortable with the normal sounds and activity level of a household.  Doug is great with other small dogs and cats.  He loves to play with other dogs, especially chase, and he is a fast runner!  Doug is still very shy around people.  He will let his foster mom pet him if she approaches slowly, and will come up to other members of his foster family and lick the backs of their legs.  But he is very wary of people, especially anyone he does not know.  The best home for Doug will be one that is very patient and loving with experienced dog owners.  Because loud noises and quick movements scare him, he will do best in a home without small children.  He is not snappy but will run and hide when he is afraid.  Doug loves other dogs and would do well with another playful dog his own size.  He responds well to positive training methods and loves treats.  Doug's foster family has worked hard with him, but knows he would blossom in a home where he could get more individual attention.  For information on Doug, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com

Honey is a 4 year old female pitbull.  She is very affectionate and loves to be at your feet.  Very ball motavated and will play for hours.  When we got her she was missing all of her hair.  Her skin was cracking and very irritated.  She was diagnosed with demadex mange.  We have gotten her hair back and healthy.  The past owner never treated the problem so she may need further treatments of a cheap medicine called promeris.  She doesn't like cats or other dogs prefering to be the only princess in the house.  Honey is spayed, up to date on shots and microchiped. If you are interested in Honey call Jen 623-210-6578 or Ryan 623-606-4855 or email bu.ter.fly@hotmail.com
