Waldo is a chubby, cute chihuahua mix who weighs about 8-10 pounds.  He is 3-4 years old.  Waldo came from the County pound, so we don't know much about his history, but his foster family says he is quite a character.  Waldo is housebroken and crate trained.  He enjoys the other small dogs in his foster home and loves to play.  We don't know how he is with big dogs.  Waldo is not good with cats - loves to chase and torment them.  His favorite things are eating and napping on his foster dad's lap.  Waldo can be a little snappy with new people and does not like to be picked up by anyone he doesn't know.  For this reason, he cannot go to a home with children.  He really is a funny little dog and will be a great companion for some lucky person.  For information on Waldo, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com
All of our dogs are spay/neutered, up to date on shots and microchiped.  We are at petco on I17 & Happy Valley every Sunday from 11-6.

Buddy is a 2 year old Airdale terrier with 3 legs and 1 eye. We got him from the Humane Society in Pine top. His owner said that he fell out of a truck as a puppy and that is how he lost his back right leg. When Buddy came to us his right eye was open but there was only an infected lump inside and constantly draining so we had the eye surgically removed and stitched up. Buddy is looking and feeling a lot better now and would love to join his new family. He is such an awesome dog and loves attention once he knows you. He is a smart terrier and takes a couple minutes on first meeting to make sure you are safe, but then he is your best friend. He loves to run around after toys in the yard and bounces around you in excitement that you are spending time with him. He was not well socialized or loved as a puppy and has trouble in new environments and with new people. Being at adoptions in Petco terrifies him and he just shuts down. Its too many people too fast all at one time for him. We have been working with Buddy now since January and he is making improvements daily. He still does not want to be buddy buddy with any dogs large or small but will do ok if they leave him alone and he has gotten the chance to get to know them. He also hates the cats and is always barking at them. What he craves and what he wants is human attention. He bonds very quickly to his caretaker and will do anything for them. He is a great companion and friend. Due to his low confidence level we don’t think Buddy would like to live with small children. If interested please call Ryan #623-606-4855 or email bu.ter.fly@hotmail.com

Pena Pit bull mix 2 years Female Take a peek at this little sweetheart! Look at that tongue the better to lick you with! This is Pena, she came to us off the euthanasia list at County where she was placed simply because they were over crowed and had to put too many dogs in one kennel. But, Pena was a lucky girl because a volunteer at County that had been spending time with her just couldnt stand the idea of this little girl dying like that so she contacted Toni and asked us to take her. Pena currently lives in a foster home with two other dogs and shes doing amazingly! She loves the boy dog and they play great together. She has a wonderful disposition, she loves everyone she meets. Pena is good on a leash, super in the car and is potty trained and crate trained. She is very polite with the other dogs and is very good in the house she even gets to go to work with her foster dad at times and is a hit at the office! This little cutie is an athlete she will make someone a wonderful hiking, jogging and camping buddy and she is the kind of pup that is very willing to please. She is smart, loveable and fun to be around. If you think you can stand this much perfection, please give Toni a call to get more information on Pena. RESCUE A FOREVER FRIEND! Milah is a 1-2 year old jack-a-poo (Jack Russell Terrier-Poodle mix).  She is a bit thin and only weighs about 12 pounds.  She was surrendered to rescue when her owner could not longer keep her.  Milah is a very sweet girl but is a bit shy.  She takes a while to warm up to new people/new situations and definitely prefers women to men.  Milah enjoys playing with the other dogs her size in her foster home and does not bother the cats.  She is very athletic and can easily jump a baby gate when she wants to be were the people are.  Milah needs an owner with time to bond with her and make her feel secure.  She is crate trained and mostly housebroken. She's also spayed, current on vaccines and microchipped.   Milah is a very sweet, loving girl who will be a loyal companion to some very lucky person.  For information on Milah, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com

Madden Blue Pit Bull 1 year Female Meet little Miss Madden! Madden was a Benjis puppy when she was tiny and then was adopted by a family who just recently returned her because they lost their house. This gorgeous pup is quite a little spitfire! She is full of life and energy happy every minute of every day! She is currently being fostered in a home with three other dogs and she loves it. Madden is house trained and crate trained and she loves to go for rides in the car. She is still very much a puppy so if you leave a shoe lying around it wont be there when you get back J She is super smart and very much wants to please. She is not happy left alone she needs the company of another dog to be happy. Maddens favorite thing to do is to swim! While shes not quite a fish, she sure asks like shed like to be. Madden would be great in a home with a pool and/or someone that wants a dog to go on a boat with them. Her other favorite thing to do is to chase and be chased tag, youre it. She will play with another dog or a person - whoever will run the most. She is great with children and loves all people with all her heart. Take a look at her stunning eyes, cant look away?  Hazel is a 8-10 year old chihuahua/dachshund mix who weighs about 8 pounds.  She is blind.  Hazel came to us from the County shelter so we don't know anything about her background.  Our vet thinks that she has damage to the retinas of her eyes and has probably been blind for quite a while.  Hazel is a sweet girl who loves to be with people.  She has learned her way around her foster home very well and is housebroken and crate trained.  She is good with small dogs and cats, even though they sometimes get snappy when she bumps into them!  Hazel will do best in a home without small children and where someone is home most of the time.  She bonds quickly to people and wants to be near you all the time. Hazel is spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped, recently had a dental, and has current blood work.  For information, contact Patti at rcartfam@aol.com or 602-943-7059

Sadie Pit Bull Mix 2 years old Female Meet little Miss Sadie! This beautiful little girl came to us after her owner turned her into County Animal Control WITH all nine of her newborn puppies because he didnt want to deal with another litter! Sadie was considered un-adoptable because of her litter and the pups were much too young to go up for adoption so she and all nine little ones went straight to the euthanasia list! Such a sad situation that happens so very often. However it wasnt Sadies time to die and she was snatched out of County and taken to a wonderful foster home where she and her pups would be safe. Sadie was a great mom very loving and caring of her pups but they are old enough to be without her now and little Miss Sadie is ready for her new forever home. She is fun, funny and loving and has an outstanding disposition! Sadie loves kids and is very good with them. She is also very playful and would love a big male dog to have as a playmate. She is housebroken WITH a doggie door, walks well on a leash and loves to ride in a car. Sadie is super loving and will roll over in a second to get a good tummy rub. She is active but not hyper and very athletic she is the type of dog that will make a great hiking, jogging and camping partner. Sadie needs a yard to run and play in and a person or family that will include her in their activities and daily lives this is not a little girl you can leave outside to just look in at the family she needs to be PART of your family. If you think youd like your family to grow a little this little girl maybe worth checking out. Please call Toni at 602-686-4158 or 623-582-5401 or email azbullygirl@q.com. Rescue a forever friend

Check out this little bundle of energy!  This is Joe!  Joe came to us off the euthanasia list from Apache Junction where his owners dropped him when they decided they wanted a “purse dog” and our Joe boy doesn’t fit in a purse!  This little guy is pure fun – he absolutely loves playing with other dogs and no matter what when they’re tired Joe’s still ready to go.  He is good in the house but still a puppy so left unattended he may find things to do to entertain himself J  He is housetrained with a doggie door – not sure if he is without one as his foster home has one – he is also crate trained.  He is great with kids but would do better with children eight and older because of his energy.  Joe LOVES people – never met one he didn’t want to give a big kiss to.  This handsome guy is great on hikes and jogs and would even do great running next to a bike – he also loves to go for rides in the car.  He needs a family that is active and has some room at their home for him to run around and he’d love a buddy dog to play with.  Although Joe is action packed, he also loves to snuggle next to you and watch a good game on TV.  Joe is a pint sized little muscle boy and every inch is happy, loving and just fun to have around.  Everyone needs a little entertainment in their lives – here it is in a beautiful package!  For more information on Joe please call Toni at 602-686-4158 or 623-582-5401 or email azbullygirl@q.com
