Isis is a 1 1/2-2 year old female great dane. She came to use from the county pound where she was very scared. She warmed up very quickly and now just wants to play like she is a pup. She was turned in to county by her owners because of jealousy issues with other dogs in the house so we are looking for a single dog house. She is very well potty trained and just loooves to be right where you are when she is awake. She would make a wonderful addition to a only dog home where she gets all the love to herself, and there is plenty of her to love. |
Khan is a 1 year old golden/saint mix. He is a very friendly boy who knows no stranger. Just loves to be right by your side. He will be a big boy, right around 100 pounds full grown. He is still very playful but also will just lay with you. He gets along great with other dogs but can be oafy so tiny ones might get stepped on. He would make a great companion for many familys. |
Pumpkin is a 2 year old bloodhound mix. She is a very sweet girl that gets along with both cats and dogs. She is small for a bloodhound at around 55 pounds so she might have a mix in her. She was a owner surrender coming from a home with a toddler in a walker that scared her, so no children under 8. She is a wonderful girl just waiting for her home. |
Wylie and Wilma are a bonded pair that need to go together. Wylie is the dark colored chi mix and Wilma is the lighter colored chi/beagle mix? Wylie is about 5 pounds and Wilma is around 9 pounds. They are both very sweet and love to be everywhere that you are. They came from a home with children and really love to be around kids. They have been together and find comfort in one another so they can't be seperated. |
![]() | Waldo is a chubby, cute chihuahua mix who weighs about 8-10 pounds. He is 3-4 years old. Waldo came from the County pound, so we don't know much about his history, but his foster family says he is quite a character. Waldo is housebroken and crate trained. He enjoys the other small dogs in his foster home and loves to play. We don't know how he is with big dogs. Waldo is not good with cats - loves to chase and torment them. His favorite things are eating and napping on his foster dad's lap. Waldo can be a little snappy with new people and does not like to be picked up by anyone he doesn't know. For this reason, he cannot go to a home with children. He really is a funny little dog and will be a great companion for some lucky person. For information on Waldo, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com |
Dot is a 9 year old Dachshund. She is very loving and active. She loves to be around everyone and bonds very quickly. She is very good with small dogs and cats. She would love to have a friend to play with. |
Joanie and Chachi are brother/sister chihuahua mixes who were born in May 2009. Based on their size now, we estimate they will weigh 10-15 pounds as adults. Joanie is tan and Chachi is black. These two sweethearts somehow ended up at the County pound and were at risk of being euthanized due to lack of space. Luckily, one of our foster homes had room for them. Joanie and Chachi are busy puppies and lots of fun. They are crate trained and their foster family is working on house training. They are puppies so they still love to chew and get into all kinds of mischief. They get along well with the other small dogs in their foster home. They are ok with the cats but really like to chase them if they run. They are smart and eager to please. Please help give these puppies "Happy Days" forever!! For information, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com |
Onyx is a 2-3 year old, small/medium female mixed breed who weighs about 25 pounds. She has a beautiful short, black coat with a white patch on her chest. Onyx is a bit shy but very sweet, eager to please and smart. She is housebroken, crate trained and good with other dogs her size or smaller. She is fine with cats as long as they don't run - then she wants to chase them. After coming into rescue, Onyx was diagnosed with Valley Fever. This disease is not contagious to other dogs and is easily treatable with medication. She is currently on fluconazole twice a day, which she takes wrapped in a piece of cheese. Onyx's adoption fee includes her medication and follow up lab work. She will be a wonderful companion for some lucky family. For information on Onyx, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com |
Barney is a cute little 1-2 year old chihuahua/doxie mix who weighs around 5 pounds. Barney was found wandering with another dog in a neighborhood park. When his owner could not be found he came to our rescue. Barney is initially shy with people but warms up quickly and loves to be cuddled. He is not housebroken but is making good progress in his foster home. Barney is good with the other small dogs and cats in his foster home. He has not been around children or large dogs. Barney will need a patient family who is willing to work with him and help build his confidence. He is neutered, current on vaccines and microchipped. For information on Barney, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com All of our dogs are spay/neutered, up to date on shots and microchiped. We are at petco on I17 & Happy Valley every Sunday from 11-6. www.littlerascalsrescue.com |
Evelynn-About 1 year old, female, cream, shephard mix, 3 legs Evelynn is such an amazing dog. We pulled her from the euthanasia list at Maricopa County. Her front left leg was very badly injured when we picked her up. X-rays showed that she had numerouse fractures all up and down her leg that were very old. She was so badly broken that we were unable to fix it. So we amputated. She was not using her leg anyway and it was just getting in her way and slowing her down. She is so much happier now with her 3 good legs. She runs and plays and does everything that a dog should do. Sometimes on slippery floor she looses her balance and falls over. No matter what, Evelynn always seems to be smiling. She has such a great upbeat personality and loves people! She gets along great with the cats, but is picky about the dogs she likes. She is a little princess that would love to continue to be spoiled with her new family. Please call Jen with any questions and to meet her. #623-210-6578 or Ryan 623-606-4855 . Or e-mail-bu.ter.fly@hotmail.com. You can see Evelynn every Sunday at the Happy Valley/I17 Petco from 11-5pm. Rescue a forever friend! |
Fiona is a tiny chuhuahua who weighs about 3-4 pounds. She was turned into the County pound as a stray so we don't know anything about her history. Fiona is quite a spunky gal - she is a big dog in a little dog body! She gets along well with the passive dogs in her foster home, but likes to try to be the boss. She also likes to chase the cats, but because of her size, they don't take her too seriously. Because Fiona is so tiny, she will not be placed in a home with children. She would probably be best as an only dog or with another passive dog close to her size. Fiona is housebroken and loves to snuggle with people, especially under the covers in bed at night! She is quite the little princess!! Fiona is spayed, current on vaccines and microchipped. For information, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com All of our dogs are spay/neutered, up to date on shots and microchiped. We are at petco on I17 & Happy Valley every Sunday from 11-6. www.littlerascalsrescue.com |
Betty is a 2-3 year old chihuahua mix who weighs between 10-15 pounds. Betty was found wandering with another dog in a neighborhood park. When her owner could not be found she was surrendered to our rescue. Betty is a bit shy with new people and in new situations, but is doing well in her foster home. Her foster family is working on house training. She is crate trained but will cry when you leave her. Betty gets along well with most of the small dogs in her foster home. She likes to bark at the cats, but is getting better with them. We do not know how she is with children or large dogs. Betty is a sweet girl who deserves a loving home. She is spayed, current on vaccines and microchipped. For information on Betty, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com All of our dogs are spay/neutered, up to date on shots and microchiped. We are at petco on I17 & Happy Valley every Sunday from 11-6. www.littlerascalsrescue.com |
Baby is a very nice young chihuahua who weighs 5-8 pounds. Baby was taken in by a kind woman who found her wandering an apartment complex. When she couldn't find her owner she gave her to our rescue. Baby is very sweet and loving. She likes to snuggle in your lap and sleep in bed with you at night. Baby is missing one of her hind feet, but that does not slow her down. She is able to function normally without it and is not in any pain. Baby is good with the other small dogs in her foster home and the cats. She has not been around children or large dogs. She is housebroken, spayed, current on vaccines and mircochipped. Baby will make a wonderful addition to some very lucky family. For information on Baby, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com |
![]() | Chewy is a 1 and half year old, male, lab/chow mix, black Chewy was found as a stray wandering around my neighborhood. He jumped right in my friends car. We had him posted everywhere for a month with no success of finding his owner. When he first came to me, Chewy didn't know how to walk on a leash at all. Now he loves it, because he knows thats when he gets his special one on one time. He is a great walking/jogging partner! He is always very eager to be where the action is. He loves attention and rolls over on his back to get belly rubs. He is very affectionate and loves being around people. Kids seem to scare him and he doesn't know what to do. I would not place him around small children. He loves playing outside with the other big dogs and can never get enough of it. He is completly potty trained and is even learning his basic commands well. You just look at him and see he wants to please you. He talks sometimes, by doing a little whine, its very soft and cute. He will bark when someone comes to the door, or he wants something. For the most part, he is a very calm, gentle, quiet dog. If you are interested in Chewy please call his foster mom Jen #623-210-6578 Ryan 623-606-4855 or email bu.ter.fly@hotmail.com. Chewy will be at our adoption events on Sunday from 11-5pm at the Happy Valley/I17 Petco. Come meet him and more of his friends! Rescue a forever friend! |
Agnes is a very sweet older chihuahua. She weighs less than 10 pounds. Agnes was found wandering in a ditch and was taken in by a local vet. Poor Agnes looks like she has had a tough life. She was dirty, had very rotten teeth, and her ears look like they have been cropped. In spite of all that, she is a very sweet girl. She gets along well with the other small dogs and cats in her foster home. She loves to snuggle and be held. Because Agnes is an older girl, the best home for her would be one that is quiet and without small children or large dogs. She is spayed, current on vaccines, has had a dental and is microchipped. For information on Agnes, contact Patti at 602-2943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com All of our dogs are spay/neutered, up to date on shots and microchiped. We are at petco on I17 & Happy Valley every Sunday from 11-6. www.littlerascalsrescue.com

Meet Roger, a senior chihuahua who weighs about 10 pounds. Roger was turned into AHS as a stray, so we do not know anything about his past. He was given to our rescue because he needed dental work. Now that his teeth are clean and healthy, he's ready for a new home. We estimate Roger is at least 8 years old. He gets along well with the other small dogs and cats in his foster home. He is housebroken and crate trained. Because Roger is an older gentleman, he would probably most enjoy a quiet home without small children or large dogs. Roger is neutered, current on vaccines, has had a dental and is microchipped. For information on Roger, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com |
![]() ![]() | Doug is a terrier mix, about 15 pounds, and about 2-3 years old. Doug originally came into rescue via another rescue group that saves mill dogs (www.milldogrescue.org). Doug spent the first 12-18 months of his life at a midwest puppy mill. He received very little human interaction and what little he received must not have been pleasant. Doug has been in his current foster home since May 2008 and has made great progress. He is housebroken and comfortable with the normal sounds and activity level of a household. Doug is great with other small dogs and cats. He loves to play with other dogs, especially chase, and he is a fast runner! Doug is still very shy around people. He will let his foster mom pet him if she approaches slowly, and will come up to other members of his foster family and lick the backs of their legs. But he is very wary of people, especially anyone he does not know. The best home for Doug will be one that is very patient and loving with experienced dog owners. Because loud noises and quick movements scare him, he will do best in a home without small children. He is not snappy but will run and hide when he is afraid. Doug loves other dogs and would do well with another playful dog his own size. He responds well to positive training methods and loves treats. Doug's foster family has worked hard with him, but knows he would blossom in a home where he could get more individual attention. For information on Doug, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com. |
![]() | Honey is a 4 year old female pitbull. She is very affectionate and loves to be at your feet. Very ball motavated and will play for hours. When we got her she was missing all of her hair. Her skin was cracking and very irritated. She was diagnosed with demadex mange. We have gotten her hair back and healthy. The past owner never treated the problem so she may need further treatments of a cheap medicine called promeris. She doesn't like cats or other dogs prefering to be the only princess in the house. Honey is spayed, up to date on shots and microchiped. If you are interested in Honey call Jen 623-210-6578 or Ryan 623-606-4855 or email bu.ter.fly@hotmail.com |
![]() | Courtesy listing--- Princess Bella is a beautiful white/fawn chihuahua/pomeranian mix. She is around 1yr old, about 12lbs, and has tons of puppy energy. She needs a good home that can continue her training and treat her like the princess she is. She has a bouncy and regal walk and loves to play. She loves to give kisses and be held. In the three months I have had her she has learned how to fetch, shake, sit, walk on a halter but not collar, knows her name, is almost completely housetrained, and knows what no and outside mean. When she needs to go out she taps on our sliding glass door, sits, or paces in circles by it waiting. She still has occasional accidents. She loves rawhides and her kong toy. She is somewhat dominating with our other dogs, especially the smaller one, and wants to be the alpha of her pack; though she has not been especially aggressive with them. She may do better as an only dog. She does well with our children. She’s a runner and will bolt. She has been spayed, chipped, and had her shots done. If you are interested in adopting Princess Bella, please contact Leigh at 602-502-7201 or by email at legosney@cox.net. |
