Suzie is a beautiful short haired lynx point siamese mix who is about 3 years old.  Suzie's owner moved and left her behind.  We know she lived outside for quite sometime before a kind woman decided to help her.  Suzie is very sweet with people. She loves attention and will purr and rub on you when she is happy.  She is a little intimidated by the other cats in her foster home so would do best with a very mellow cat or as an only cat.  She has not been around dogs.  The best home for Suzie would be one that is fairly quiet, without young children or a lot of commotion.  For information on Suzie, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com

All of our cats are spay/neutered, up to date on all shots, felv/fiv combo tested, and microchipped.  We are at petco on I17 & Happy Valley every Sunday from 11-6.

Mara and Olivia are two sweet, short haired kitties who were born in March 2009.  Their family split up and decided they didn't have time for them anymore.  Mara is white and gray and is the more outgoing of the two.  She loves to play and is very curious about everything.  Olivia is a gray tabby and is little shy in new situations and with new people. Once she is comfortable she is a total lover and will snuggle and purr.  These sweet girls are great with other cats but have not been around dogs.  They are good with gentle children.  Because they are sisters and very bonded to each other, we want to place them in a home together.  For information on Mara and Olivia, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com

Virginia is a beautiful black and white tuxedo cat.  She is about 2-3 years old.  Virginia's owner was an elderly wheel-chair bound woman.  When she became ill and had to move, the woman's family left Virginia behind to fend for herself.  A kind neighbor took her in and brought her to our rescue.  Virginia is a very sweet and loving cat.  She is used to living in a fairly quiet environment.  She gets along well with the other cats in her foster home.  We do not know how she is with dogs.  Virginia loves people and will follow you around and rub up against you for attention.  Virginia is spayed, current on vaccines, tested for FELV/FIV and microchipped.  For information on Virginia, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com.

Meet Maya, a beautiful, short haired black cat.  Maya was born in April 2009 and was found as a very tiny stray.  Maya is a little shy when meeting new people and in new situations, but comes around very quickly.  She loves to be held.  Maya enjoys other cats and would be a wonderful playmate for a lonely cat.  She would probably be best suited for a more quiet home.  We don't know how she is with dogs.  Maya is spayed, current on vaccines, tested for FELV/FIV and microchipped.  For information on Maya, contact Rachel at rachelt58@cox.net or 602-803-0901.

Snoopy is a beautiful all white, short-haired cat with one blue eye and one yellow eye.  He is 2-3 years old.  He is very friendly - likes to be in the middle of everything you are doing and will wrap around your legs and swat your hand if you don't pay attention to him.  He likes other cats and loves to play. He is not afraid of the small dogs in his foster home so would probably be fine with cat-friendly dogs too.  Snoopy has a food allergy and must be on a special diet: Royal Canin Rabbit and Pea formula.  When he is not on his special diet, he scratches himself raw and is miserable.  Snoopy is a great cat who would fit into a variety of homes and we would love for him to find his forever family.  He will come with a starter supply of his special food.  For information on Snoopy, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com

Sylvia is a 1-2 year old short haired, black and white cat.  Sylvia's owners abandoned her at a vet's office.  The vet didn't want her and sent her to the County pound.  While at the pound, Sylvia gave birth to three kittens.  She also picked up a bad upper respiratory infection there and within a week of coming into our foster home, all her kittens died.  Luckily, Sylvia got better and was able to nurse two orphaned kittens who came into our rescue.  Now those kittens are grown and Sylvia is ready for a home of her own.  Sylvia is very sweet and loving.  She gets along great with other cats.  We don't know how she is with dogs.  Sylvia's favorite thing to do is sleep inside a dresser in her foster home.  She is a very sweet cat who has been through some tough times and deserves her own loving home.  Sylvia is spayed, vaccinated, combo tested for FELV/FIV and mircochipped.  For information on Sylvia, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com

Ella is a small, beautiful torbie - combination between a calico and a tabby.  She is about a year old.  Ella's owner was moving and planned to leave Ella and her 5 kittens behind.  Fortunately, we were able to take them.  Ella is quite a character.  She is busy and loves to be in the center of the action.  She is curious and interested in everything around her.  Ella has a more dominant cat personality, so she is a little picky about her cat friends.  She tolerates the small dogs in her foster home.  She has excellent house and litter box manners and loves canned food.  For information on Ella, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com

Paisley is a wonderful plus sized gal. She was a favorite neighborhood stray that we took in because the neighbors thought she was pregnant. Turned out she wasn't pregnant - just very fat! We think Paisley is 3-4 years old. She is a bit of a character - likes to be in the middle of all the action. She is pretty easy going, enjoys the company of other cats in her foster home, and tolerates the dogs. Paisley is not a lap cat but is very content to just hang out wherever the people are. For information on Paisley, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com. Rescue a forever friend!

Miriam is a very sweet 2-3 year old short-haired, white/gray tabby.  Miriam was caught as an injured stray in Petco.  When we got her, her front foot was squashed and badly infected, her tail was broken and she was pregnant.  Miriam had 4 beautiful kittens on St. Patrick's Day.  She is done raising them and is now ready for her own home.  Because of her injuries, Miriam has been declawed on one of her front paws and has had her tail amputated.  She is very healthy.  Miriam enjoys people and likes to be in the middle of the action.  She is very easy with the other cats in her foster home and tolerates the small dogs.  Miriam is a really great cat who would fit into a variety of homes.  For information, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com

UPDATE; NALA HAS BEEN ADOPTED...TAYLOR AND BRENT REMAIN.....Meet Brent (tabby male), Nala (tabby female), and Taylor (black make). These cute kittens were born on Mother's Day 2008. Their momma was a stray who was lucky enough to be taken in by a very nice family. Taylor, Brent and Nala are currently in a foster home with two other cats. They get along great with the other cats and are very friendly and loving with their foster mom. They have not been around dogs. Unfortunately, they get really scared going to adoptions so we are hoping someone will see their pictures on-line and decide to come meet them in person. Please take a second look at these three wonderful kittens and consider giving them a chance. For information, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com. Rescue a forever friend!

Shauna is a beautiful. sleek, muscular all black female cat. We think she is about a year old. Shauna was a favorite neighborhood stray, visiting a number of homes on the same block. One of the children noticed she was getting fat - and the adults realized she was pregnant. Shauna was taken into one of our foster homes and had 7 beautiful kittens. Now that they are grown and gone, it's time for her to find her forever home. Shauna is very mellow and would enjoy a more quiet home. She is especially attached to one of the boys in her foster home, following him everywhere and sleeping with him at night. Shauna is ok with other cats and dogs, but would probably prefer to be an only. For information on Shauna, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com. Rescue a forever friend!

Metro is a beautiful male gray tabby with white feet. He was born in March/April 2008. Metro was found all alone, living in the bushes outside of Metrocenter Mall. Metro is a little shy on first meetings and does not like to be held. However, once you let him warm up, he is very loving and will rub all over you for attention. Metro is being fostered in a home with other cats and small dogs and gets along with everyone. He is a little food protective and will growl if the other cats come up to his dish when he's eating. Metro is a beautiful young cat and by the looks of his feet, is going to grow into a big, handsome adult. For information, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com.  This special girl is FELV positive and needs to be either the only cat in the household or in a household with other positive tested cats. Annie is about 9-12 months old. Appears to be in otherwise great health - nice coat; clean ears, eyes and nose; She was a stray hanging out in an apartment complex and a nice rescuer started to feed her. Alas, she has feline leukemia. Many cats can live almost normal length lives, and pretty healthy ones at that, with this illness. She is more susceptible to other illnesses so that can shorten her life, but she is a happy cat who loves people, loves to talk, and deserves a happy life for whatever life she has before her. No idea how she is with other cats and dogs. If you would like to give a very special cat a very special home, please contact Patti at 602-943-7059. Rescue a forever friend!
