Isabel is a cute black and white kitten who was born in May 2011.  She came into rescue as an orphaned kitten, but was quickly adopted by a nursing mom with a litter.  All her littermates have been adopted and Isabel is anxious to find a family of her own.  Isabel is a wonderful kitten.  She is curious and active, but also sweet and loving.  She is great with other cats. She has had limited exposure to dogs but could adjust to living with a cat friendly dog.  She is spayed, combo tested for FELV/FIV, vaccinated and microchipped.  For information, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com

Addie is a medium haired white/tabby who was born in May 2010.  Addie and her 6 kittens were found abandoned and were brought to rescue.  Addie was a super momma and not only cared for her 6 kittens, but adopted 4 more orphaned kittens!  Now that the kittens are grown and have found homes of their own, it's Addie's turn.  Addie is very sweet with people and loves attention.  She is good with other cats but has not been around dogs.  Addie would make a wonderful addition to almost any type of home.  She is spayed, combo tested negative for FELV/FIV, current on vaccines and microchipped.  For information on Addie, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com

Opal is a small, long haired all black cat.  She's about 2-3 years old.  Opal was surrendered to our rescue by an elderly woman who could no longer care for her.  Opal is initially very shy with new people and in new situations, but once she warms up, she's very sweet.  We think Opal would do best in a quiet home without small children.  She is a little defensive with the other cats in her foster home so might do best as an only cat or living with another passive cat.  She has limited exposure to dogs and might be ok with a cat-friendly dog.  Opal is spayed, current on vaccines, combo tested negative for FELV/FIV and microchipped.  For information on Opal, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com

Maria is a beautiful solid gray kitty who is about 4-5 years old.  She is very small and has an unusual round face and head, much like a British shorthair cat.  Maria came to us as a stray and must have been on her own for quite a while because she was very thin.  She is slowly putting on weight and is anxious to be in her own home where she can get more individual attention.  Maria likes to be held and will roll over on her back for belly rubs. She is ok with other cats but might like to be an only pet.  She is unknown with dogs.  Maria is spayed, combo tested negative for FELV/FIV, current on vaccines and microchipped.  For information on Maria, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com

Maureen is a beautiful medium length haired dilute calico who was born in August 2010.  Poor Maureen became a momma very young and was abandoned with her babies in an apartment complex.  Only Maureen and one kitten, Linus, survived to come into rescue.  Maureen is a very petite cat and is very sweet.  She enjoys affection and loves to be with people.  Maureen is also quite attached to her son, Linus, and they have a lot of fun playing together. She is good with other cats but has not been around dogs. Maureen is spayed, combo tested negative for FELV/FIV, current on vaccines and microchipped.  For information on Maureen, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com

Tulip is a beautiful short haired calico who is about 9 years old.  Tulip's cat buddy and her elderly owner both recently died.  According to the family, Tulip stayed curled up with her owner until she passed.  Tulip is very sad and doesn't understand what happened to her family and why she's in a strange place with strange kitties.   She is currently sharing living space with two older female cats and while they aren't the best of friends, they are getting along ok.  She is afraid of dogs.  Tulip is very friendly with people.  She purrs and talks when her foster mom is around and really wants attention.  She had dental problems in the past and as a result, has no teeth and needs to eat canned food.  We had blood work run and she is in great health.  We think Tulip would do best in a quiet home.  She is very friendly and would make a wonderful companion for the right family. She is spayed, current on vaccines, combo tested for FELV/FIV, microchipped, and has current blood work.  For information, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com

Stoli (long haired tortie) and Jasmine (long haired black) are sisters who are about 4 years old.  They were surrendered to rescue when their owners moved and could not take them.  Stoli and Jasmine are very bonded to each other so we are looking to place them in a home together.  Stoli and Jasmine came from a home with dogs and children, so they are used to some activity.  They are curious and friendly with people.  They get along ok with other cats but can be a little bossy.  Both are spayed, current on vaccines, combo tested negative for FELV/FIV and microchipped.  For information on Stoli and Jasmine, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com

Linus is a handsome black and white, short-haired kitten who was born in April 2011.  Linus, his mom, and his littermates were abandoned in an apartment complex.  Unfortunately, the littermates all disappeared and only Linus and his mom made it into rescue.  Linus is very full of life.  He's busy, curious and loves to play with everything.  He is especially fascinated with water and puts all his toys into his water dish.  Linus is great with other cats and because he is so busy, needs to be in a home with another young, active cat.  He is very attached to his mom, Maureen, and they would make a great pair to be adopted together.  Linus is neutered, combo tested negative for FELV/FIV, current on vaccines and microchipped.  For information on Linus, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com.

Sheryl is a beautiful long-haired Russian Blue who is 1-2 years old.  She was found as a pregnant stray living in a trailer park.  Sheryl is a beautiful, sweet, passive cat.  She is shy in new situations and takes a while to warm up to new people.  She is very good with other cats and seems to enjoy their company but she has not been around dogs.  The best home for Sheryl will be a quiet home without small children or a lot of activity.  She will be the perfect companion for someone who just wants some quiet company.  Sheryl is spayed, current on vaccines, combo tested negative for FELV/FIV and microchipped.  For information on Sheryl, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com

Celeste is a sweet 2-3 year old small black cat with short hair.  Celeste ended up at a large shelter as an injured stray with a badly broken front leg.  She is such a sweet kitty that everyone worked hard to get her into rescue so she could be treated and find a new home.  Celeste's injury was so severe that her leg had to be amputated.  She is now healed and ready for a new home.  Celeste is very friendly and quite talkative.  She purrs all the time.  Celeste is ok with the other cats in her foster home but tends to be a little defensive with them.  She does not like dogs.  Because she does not move quickly, she would be happiest in a home without small children.  She is spayed, current on vaccines, combo tested for FELV/FIV and microchipped.  For information on Celeste, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com

Snoopy is a beautiful 4 year old all white, short-haired male cat.  Snoopy came to us as a stray with a terrible skin rash.  After testing, we discovered he has food allergies to some very common cat food ingredients including corn, oats and tuna.  We now have Snoopy on Wellness brand cat food and he is doing much better.  Snoopy is a bit shy with new people and in new situations so he will do best in a more quiet home without small children.  Once he warms up to you, he is a total lover boy.  Snoopy is good with other cats but has a passive personality and sometimes gets picked on by more dominant cats.  He is afraid of dogs and needs a dog-free home.  He is neutered, current on vaccines, combo tested negative for FELV/FIV, microchipped, and has had allergy testing done.  Snoopy is a very sweet cat who deserves his own loving family.  For information on Snoopy, contact Jill at 602-618-0992 or jill.freeman@cox.net.

Andy is a handsome 8-9 year old white/black tabby short haired cat.  Andy was surrendered to rescue when his owner lost her home.  Andy is a very easy going, mellow cat.  He's initially shy with new people but once he is comfortable, is a great companion.  He would probably enjoy a more quiet home.  According to his previous owner, he is leash trained.  Andy currently lives with other cats and gets along with everyone.  We don't know how he is with dogs.  Andy has current blood work and has had a dental.  He's neutered, current on vaccines, combo tested negative for FELV/FIV and microchipped.  For information on Andy, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com

Donnie and Marie are a beautiful, all white, yellow eyed, brother/sister pair. We estimate they were born in March/April 2008. Donnie and Marie were abandoned in a neighborhood, sick and starving. A very nice family took them in and helped get them healthy, but could not keep them. They are now in one of our foster homes and are doing great. They are very friendly, purr all the time, and love to play. Their foster mom quickly discovered that Marie is deaf (very common for all white cats). Because Marie is deaf, she relies on visual cues from Donnie. For this reason, we are looking to place them together in a home. Donnie and Marie are currently sharing space with other cats and have adjusted very well. They do not like dogs. If you are looking for two very special loving new family members, please consider Donnie and Marie. For information, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com. Rescue a forever friend!

Metro is a beautiful male gray tabby with white feet. He was born in March/April 2008. Metro was found all alone, living in the bushes outside of Metrocenter Mall. Metro is a little shy on first meetings and does not like to be held. However, once you let him warm up, he is very loving and will rub all over you for attention. Metro is being fostered in a home with other cats and small dogs and gets along with everyone. He is a little food protective and will growl if the other cats come up to his dish when he's eating. Metro is a beautiful young cat and by the looks of his feet, is going to grow into a big, handsome adult. For information, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com.  Arthur is a handsome, short haired black cat.  He was born in April 2009 and was found abandoned in a park.  Arthur is very fun - loves to play and get into mischief.  He is very interested in people, loves attention and purrs a lot.   Arthur is great with other cats but has not been with dogs.  He is neutered, current on vaccines, tested for FELV/FIV and microchipped.  For information on Arthur, contact Rachel at rachelt58@cox.net or 602-803-0901.

Meet Maya, a beautiful, short haired black cat.  Maya was born in April 2009 and was found as a very tiny stray.  Maya is a little shy when meeting new people and in new situations, but comes around very quickly.  She loves to be held.  Maya enjoys other cats and would be a wonderful playmate for a lonely cat.  She would probably be best suited for a more quiet home.  We don't know how she is with dogs.  Maya is spayed, current on vaccines, tested for FELV/FIV and microchipped.  For information on Maya, contact Rachel at rachelt58@cox.net or 602-803-0901.

Sylvia is a 1-2 year old short haired, black and white cat.  Sylvia's owners abandoned her at a vet's office.  The vet didn't want her and sent her to the County pound.  While at the pound, Sylvia gave birth to three kittens.  She also picked up a bad upper respiratory infection there and within a week of coming into our foster home, all her kittens died.  Luckily, Sylvia got better and was able to nurse two orphaned kittens who came into our rescue.  Now those kittens are grown and Sylvia is ready for a home of her own.  Sylvia is very sweet and loving.  She gets along great with other cats.  We don't know how she is with dogs.  Sylvia's favorite thing to do is sleep inside a dresser in her foster home.  She is a very sweet cat who has been through some tough times and deserves her own loving home.  Sylvia is spayed, vaccinated, combo tested for FELV/FIV and mircochipped.  For information on Sylvia, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com

Shauna is a beautiful. sleek, muscular all black female cat. We think she is about a year old. Shauna was a favorite neighborhood stray, visiting a number of homes on the same block. One of the children noticed she was getting fat - and the adults realized she was pregnant. Shauna was taken into one of our foster homes and had 7 beautiful kittens. Now that they are grown and gone, it's time for her to find her forever home. Shauna is very mellow and would enjoy a more quiet home. She is especially attached to one of the boys in her foster home, following him everywhere and sleeping with him at night. Shauna is ok with other cats and dogs, but would probably prefer to be an only. For information on Shauna, contact Patti at 602-943-7059 or rcartfam@aol.com. Rescue a forever friend!

These are 2 year old orange tabby twin brothers, originally part of triplets, and were found in an apartment when they were 3 months old.  The man who found them kept one and took these 2 to Little Rascals Rescue.  Although well treated and up to date on all their shots, neutered and microchipped etc. they are in rescue with many other cats and dogs, so have never had a chance to really experience real home life, or all the one on one attention. Every weekend the twins are taken to Petco to be adopted which has not hepled them to settle, so they have remained totally scared and do not show their true characteristics when there. We felt sorry for them and so are currently fostering them but we really,as much as we would love to, cannot keep them. They have now been with us now for 2 weeks, we call the smaller one Rascal who came out exploring 36-48 hours later and he really is very cute and playful. His character has really developed he is desperate to be loved. He is very playful, can act a bit like a puppy dog following one around, and absolutely loves to sit on the sofa and have his chin rubbed, At the moment its when HE wants you to touch him, so sudden movements to stroke him still scare him but he is getting better each day. The more he interacts and learns to trust, the more loving he becomes.

The brother (Temporailily called Big Boy)-do not be fooled by the name, he is not big but slightly bigger than his brother. The name has been given more as "what a Big Boy, coming out of hiding!!!" He is still very insecure, does come out in the evening from under the bed and spends a few hours checking out the surroundings, but the moment you attempt to get close to him, back he goes under the bed.Again, although his progress is slower, we are pretty sure that given time to adapt and feel safe ans secure, he will come out and want love too. He must feel some sense of security because when you check under the bed he is often on his back with his legs up in the air.

Both since day 1, are litter box trained. We have a cat door which leads to the garage where the litter box is kept and they have had no problem finding it. They have not scratched the furniture; we have a wheel with a cardboard scratchpad insert which they use as well as a cat condo. Behaviorwise we cannot fault them. These 2 little fellows are desperate for a loving home and we feel the ideal placement where there are no young children, ideally someone older who would enjoy the quiet companionship of these 2 boys.

All of our cats are spay/neutered, up to date on all shots, felv/fiv combo tested, and microchipped.  If you are interested call Ryan 623-606-4855 or Jen 623-210-6578 or email bu.ter.fly@hotmail.com

We are at petco on I17 & Happy Valley every Saturday and Sunday from 11-6.
